Liverpool John Lennon Airport or the Liverpool Airport (LPL) is an airport located at Speke, Liverpool City, Merseyside County, England, United Kingdom. It lies southeast from the heart of the city and primarily serves the population of Cheshire, Lancanshire, Liverpool City, Merseyside and North Wales.
It first started serving people in 1930 under the name Liverpool Speke Airport before it was named after John Lennon of The Beatles. The facility grew bigger throughout time and is currently one of the top ten busiest airports of the country. Liverpool John Lennon Airport has a number of shops just in case you've forgotten anything or for last minute souvenirs, plenty of places to eat and drink as well as a number of facilities such as wi-fi access, premium lounges, fast-track service and a conference centre.
