Gray's Almshouses were founded by Robert Gray in 1615 for poor single women. Originally, one of the rooms was used as a chapel and if you go there, you can still see the original benches and the painted ceilings. This brick house draws its uniqueness from the fact that it was one of the earliest brick buildings in the country. It was renovated and presently, it provides nine flats for the elderly people.
