Sometimes the best laid holiday plans don’t quite work out, and if your flight is running late, there’s some simple steps to keep in mind.
If your flight is experiencing a delay, make sure to notify the rental car provider as soon as you are informed of the situation. If you provided your flight details such as airplane and flight number, your reservation will be held until your flight has landed and cleared.
If you are arriving late due to a delayed flight, an additional charge may apply depending on the car hire provider. Note that this only applies if you entered your flight number details when you made your booking. If you are late, the rental company can guarantee your rental for 24 hours. After this time, your reserved vehicle may be released and rented to another customer.
Please note also that if you do not collect your vehicle, a “No Show” fee will apply.

When booking your reservation online, ensure to include your airline and flight information so your rental car provider will be able to check your flight and be able to hold your car during a short delay. Inform them what time you will arrive and make sure to discuss your other options with them.
